Dubai halts school inspection

In the UAE,  Dubai halts school inspection for the next academic year, which will bring effective benefits such as increased stability, a decrease in administrative workload, and better data collection quality to achieve learning targets.

It means private schools in Dubai will not undergo complete inspection in the 2024-25 academic year, expecting a new school in the third year of operations.

The KHDA (Knowledge and Human Development Authority) released the entire report of the most recent school inspection.

Sufficient time to implement areas of improvement

Sangita Chima, Amity School Dubai Principal said “ Schools will get adequate time to adopt changes identified for improvement’ the education system will more focus on innovative teaching-learning, holistic student achievement, and professional development. This change will highlight the trust of KHDA in schools’ potential for self-regulation and high standards maintenance in education.

However, the DSIB ( Dubai Schools Inspection Bureau) will have additional conduct, focusing on specific areas and continuing monitoring activities.

The schools will informed in advance about the focused areas for the upcoming academic year 2024-25. The self-evaluation form and the online school profile will be regularly updated for the next educational year.
