On Tuesday, a ceremony was held at the Baku Energy Forum where\u00a0 UAE and Azerbaijan planned the launch of three large-scale wind projects in Azerbaijan, totaling 1 GW capacity.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Ilham Aliyev the president of Azerbaijan said this event \u201c\u00a0 actually declared the green agenda and demonstrated that we will attract individuals who will invest only on fossil fuels but also who will be interested in investing renewable energies. Masdar supports us as a strategic partner in the areas of renewables.<\/span><\/p>\n

This renewable energy project<\/strong> will include a 315 MW solar plant in Neftchala, a 445 MW solar plant in Bilasuvar, and also a\u00a0 240 MW wind farm in Absheron-Garadagh.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

These plants are predicted to produce an average annual output of a total of 2 billion 3025 million kWh of electricity that will save\u00a0 496 million cubic meters of natural gas every year. It will also prevent over\u00a0 943 thousand tonnes of CO2 emission.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The projects include a 445 MW solar plant in Bilasuvar, a 315 MW solar plant in Neftchala, and a 240 MW wind farm in Absheron-Garadagh. The plants are expected to produce an average annual output of a total of 2 billion 3025 million kWh of electricity, in turn saving 496 million cubic meters of natural gas per year and preventing more than 943 thousand tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions.<\/span><\/p>\n
