The UAE has made this public a long-term residency for environment advocates and it is termed a Blue Residency Visa. This ten-year visa will be given to individuals who have made an exceptional contribution and efforts in safeguarding the environment.
This gives the sustainability initiatives outside and inside of the UAE.
This Blue Residency Visa will be given to helpers of environmental actions involving the members of international companies, non-governmental organizations, associations, universal award winners, famous activists, and researchers in environmental work.
Qualified individuals have been invited to submit their applications through the Federal Authority for Identity, customs, citizenship, and Post-security. Applicable authorities can nominate the person for long-term residency.

The country has taken the initiative and pinned 2024 as the year of sustainability by launching a new residency scheme. Just after three years they announced the 5 years of residency and termed it as a green visa for skilled freelancers, professionals, entrepreneurs, and investors.
